Chinese President Xi Jinping and .U S President Donald Trump have officially begun bilateral talks inside Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, kicking off a closely watched summit between the leaders of the world’s two biggest powers.
During opening remarks, Xi said stable U.S.-China relations were essential for global stability, while Trump praised the Chinese leader as a “great leader,” telling Xi the two had “known each other for a long time.”
