
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi met with the Vice President Kashim Shettima of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit held in New Delhi.
Both leaders reviewed the multifaceted India-Nigeria relationship and expressed satisfaction at the steady progress across diverse sectors.
The discussion focussed on key areas including trade & investment, defence & security, energy partnership, agriculture, health, and digital technologies.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the India-Nigeria Strategic Partnership.
They also exchanged views on regional and global matters of mutual interest, including priorities and concerns of the Global South.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in multilateral fora and working together towards a more representative, inclusive and multi-polar international order. (GSF)
