Nigeria’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau, today received the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), and his delegation at the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing during a courtesy visit.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the media unit of the Embassy, the Minister and his team are in China for high-level engagements on defence, security cooperation, and strategic partnership between Nigeria and China.

Ambassador Dambazau warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s defence diplomacy—facilitating cooperation in security, defence technology, capacity building, and institutional collaboration.
According to the statement, the visit also provided a platform to discuss advancing Nigeria’s strategic interests through enhanced defence ties and sustained diplomatic engagement with key Chinese stakeholders.
It added that the meeting underscores the close collaboration between the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing and the Federal Ministry of Defence in promoting national security objectives and expanding strategic partnerships.
The meeting also further reflects Ambassador Dambazau’s dedication to leveraging diplomacy for national security, peace, and sustainable development—in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. (GSF)
