As part of his continued strategic engagements to advance Nigeria’s economic diplomacy and strengthen bilateral cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency, Lt Gen Ambassador Abdulrahman Dambazau, Nigeria’s Ambassador to China, paid a strategic visit to the Beijing Headquarters of SINOMA International Engineering Co., Ltd. at the invitation of the company.

During the visit, Ambassador Dambazau toured SINOMA’s state-of-the-art exhibition centre and held high-level discussions with the company’s management on expanding strategic cooperation in sectors critical to Nigeria’s economic transformation.

Recognizing SINOMA’s long-standing presence in Nigeria since 2008, the meeting highlighted the company’s significant contributions to the country’s industrial development through strategic partnerships with Dangote Cement, BUA Group, and Mangal Cement, as well as its involvement in the Dangote Refinery, power generation projects, and lithium mining initiatives.

According to a statement by his political group, discussions between the two parties focused on exploring new opportunities in renewable energy development, including solar and wind energy, as part of Nigeria’s drive towards sustainable energy solutions. Both sides also examined avenues for strengthening research and development (R&D) collaboration between SINOMA and Nigerian universities and research institutions to promote innovation, technology transfer, and capacity building.

Ambassador Dambazau reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for strategic investments and partnerships that will accelerate industrialization, infrastructure development, clean energy adoption, and human capital development in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The engagement further reflects Ambassador Dambazau’s proactive approach to economic diplomacy and his unwavering commitment to attracting investment, promoting technology-driven development, and building strategic partnerships that will deliver sustainable economic growth and long-term benefits for Nigeria and its people.
