President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Svetlana Balanova, CEO of Russia’s National Media Group (NMG), in Beijing on Tuesday.
Noting that media cooperation is an important part of China-Russia people-to-people and cultural exchanges, Fu said that it plays an irreplaceable role in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
Xinhua stands ready to join hands with NMG to set up mechanisms for coordinated news coverage and real-time information sharing, and to exchange experience in cutting-edge fields like the application of artificial intelligence technology, so as to contribute to deepening the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era, Fu added.
Balanova thanked Xinhua for its support for the NMG’s various businesses and expressed her willingness to deepen cooperation with Xinhua, so as to convey more authentic information to the audiences of both countries and the international community. (Xinhua/GSF)
