Bauchi Governor Pledges More Support to Chinese Investors

Gov. Mohammed Bala of Bauchi State, has expressed his administration’s readiness to continue to support Chinese companies investing and operating in the state.

Mohammed, who gave the assurance during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, also expressed willingness to strengthen cooperation with China in other areas.

“We’re willing to further strengthen cooperation in capacity building, infrastructure development, and mineral resource exploitation to enhance local development and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes,” he said.

Mohammed also commended the achievements of Nigeria-China cooperation, and expressed his appreciation for the contributions of Chinese enterprises to the economic and social development of Bauchi State.

Dunhai stated that President Tinubu’s successful state visit to China last year, injected strong momentum into the development of China-Nigeria relations.

“Over the past year, political mutual trust between the two countries has continued to deepen, and practical cooperation in key areas such as infrastructure development, mining, agriculture, and technological innovation has yielded fruitful results.

“China is willing to take this opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Bauchi State and other local governments across Nigeria.

“We’re also willing to expand the scope and depth of sub-national collaboration, and inject sustained vitality and new momentum into the China-Nigeria comprehensive strategic partnership,” he said. (GSF)
