— That was the trending news that filtered into the air for a deserved recognition for a job weldone by the President and C-in-C, Bola Tinubu. No doubt, Nigerians too can attest to the massive scorecard of Gen. Marwa at NDLEA and would have recommended for his re-appointment without looking back. As an enigma, Gen. Marwa has, over the years proven to be a dedicated, worthy and valuable public officer for his integrity, transparency, and patriotism.
During his first term in office, Nigerians have witnessed the daily and weekly busting and arrests of drug cartels at airports, cannabis farms, and on highways. At NDLEA, staff confidence, welfare, and general administration were given serious attention by his leadership. Gen. Marwa is not like any accidental public servant who got to a position without a direction. He is dedicated, focused and determined.
Earlier, in his military career, he excelled in the various positions he held, including the military governor of Lagos state. To date, he is being counted among the best governors of Nigeria’s commercial hub.
It is not surprising to see the NDLEA staff today jubilating, dancing and singing praises for his re-appointment by Mr. President. As they say: “Good work, speak for itself.” In fact, Gen. Marwa is an asset to Nigeria that should continue to be recognised. Gen. Marwa is upright, bold and courageous. Congratulations, Sir!
