From 27 September, Aeroflot will resume regular flights from Moscow to the Seychelles, the airline’s press service reported.
“Aeroflot, the Russian air carrier is resuming its direct flights from Moscow to the Seychelles and Sri Lanka ahead of the winter season,” the statement said.
Flights to Mahé Island will operate twice a week — on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The route will be served by Airbus A350 aircraft in a three-class configuration: Economy, Comfort and Business.
In June, Russia’s ambassador to Mauritius Irada Zeynalova told the African Initiative that the resumption of direct air links between Moscow and Port Louis remains on the agenda, with the issue hinging on refuelling Russian aircraft on the island.
