Vladimir Putin has arrived in Kazakhstan for a rare three-day state visit the highest level of diplomatic protocol between two countries.
According to TASS report, the visit signals how strategically important Kazakhstan has become for Moscow amid growing Eurasian realignments and regional economic integration.
Putin and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev are expected to hold informal talks ahead of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit in Astana.
Notably, this marks Putin’s second official state visit to Kazakhstan a symbolic move highlighting what both sides call an “unprecedentedly high level” of bilateral relations.
The trip also comes as Russia pushes deeper economic and geopolitical coordination across Eurasia despite mounting Western pressure.
