Jesus was not haphazardly using Bread and Wine with those young men the night before His betrayal; as with everything God does, there was fathomless understanding imbedded in that Meal.Jesus said to the young men at the table that the Bread was His Body, broken for us. As the Body of Christ, we have been opened up in various ways that have released a pleasing fragrance to our God that we pray wafts its way to your heart in the writings and the art and the many expressions in this book. Jesus also said that the Wine was His Blood, poured out for us. Life is in the Blood, we see this throughout Scripture.
