NCC, Mobile Network Operators Continue Call For Protection Of Telecom Infrastructure

Nigerian Communications Commission in collaboration with Mobile Network Operators (MNO’) have called on Nigerians to join hands in protecting and saveguarding telecom infrastructure for better connectivity.

In a message through it’s official Facebook page, NCC and MNO’s urged Nigerians to help protect Nigeria’s connectivity and stop vandalism.

The message partly read: “Imagine a day without phone calls, internet access, or the ability to contact emergency services”.

“The vandalism of telecommunications infrastructure—whether through cut cables or damaged masts—disrupts lives, hampers businesses, and threatens the digital economy”.

NCC reiterated that Connectivity is not just about convenience; it is essential to our collective safety, security, and national progress.

It further called on Nigerians to report vandalism of telecommunications infrastructure immediately by calling a toll-free line 622 or email: protect@ncc.gov.ng.

Act now to safeguard our nation’s communication network, it added.
