Global South Focus is committed to providing factual, balanced, and insightful coverage of issues shaping the Global South — including politics, development, environment, economy, governance, culture, and human interest stories.
Our goal is to amplify underrepresented voices, promote accountability, and foster informed dialogue that supports equitable and sustainable development.

2. Editorial Independence

We uphold strict editorial independence.

Our editorial decisions are made without interference from advertisers, donors, sponsors, or political interests.
All stories are selected, written, and edited based solely on editorial merit, public interest, and accuracy.
Contributors and editors are expected to declare any conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, related to their work.

3. Accuracy and Fact-Checking

We prioritize accuracy, fairness, and context in all our reporting.

Every story undergoes editorial review and, where applicable, independent fact-checking before publication.
When new information emerges, we promptly update or correct published stories to reflect the most accurate facts.
We rely on verified data, credible sources, and on-the-record interviews. Anonymous sources are used only when absolutely necessary and with editorial approval.

4. Corrections and Clarifications

Global South Focus maintains a transparent correction policy:

If an error or misrepresentation is identified, we will issue a correction or clarification as soon as possible.
Corrections are clearly marked at the top or bottom of the article, explaining what was changed and why.

5. Attribution and Sources

We respect intellectual property and journalistic ethics.

All information, quotes, and images are properly attributed to their sources.
We do not plagiarize. Content reproduced from other outlets is used only under license, fair use, or with explicit permission.
When aggregating news or data, we always cite the original source.

Opinion pieces are clearly labeled as “Opinion”, “Editorial”, or “Analysis.”

These reflect the author’s or the editorial board’s perspective, not necessarily the views of Global South Focus.
We welcome diverse, respectful opinions — but we do not publish hate speech, misinformation, or content that incites violence or discrimination.
