The League of African Ambassadors is dispatching a high-powered delegation to the prestigious Mosaic Forum 2026, scheduled to hold in Cairo, Egypt, from June 3 to June 5, 2026.
Ambassador Nwannebuike Eze Ominyi, President of the League, will lead the delegation, which includes prominent continental figures and seasoned diplomats.
According to a statement signed by Ambassador John James Usanga, Deputy Spokesperson of the League, the participation underscores the organisation’s ongoing commitment to fostering intra-African cooperation, strengthening regional partnerships, and advancing the continent’s strategic economic and geopolitical interests on global platforms.
Usanga in the statement noted that within the three-day forum, the high-level team is expected to engage in a series of critical, impact-driven activities on the sidelines. Accordingly, leading diplomats from the delegation will feature as key panelists, contributing Afro-centric perspectives to discussions on contemporary public affairs facing Africa, including regional integration, economic resilience, and sustainable development.
The League is also set to institutionalise strategic partnerships through the signing of landmark Memoranda of Understanding aimed at boosting collaboration and diplomatic synergy across the continent.
Usanga explained that the delegation’s itinerary includes critical diplomatic engagements and a closed-door bilateral meeting with the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt to discuss shared regional priorities, diplomatic cooperation, and contemporary public affairs facing Africa.
Similarly, the statement further revealed that the delegation will meet with the Dean of the African Group of Ambassadors accredited to Egypt to seek ways of strengthening solidarity and alignment on the continent’s common positions within the diplomatic corps.
The Mosaic Forum 2026 is designed to foster a renewed commitment among African and Middle Eastern leaders, practitioners, and partners to navigate contemporary challenges by shifting from reactive management to proactive agency—shaping Africa’s destiny through deeper policy dialogue, smarter strategic communications, and tangible collaborations that deliver prosperity and dignity for all peoples.
The League remains a premier diplomatic body dedicated to promoting unity, fostering robust socio-economic collaborations, and advocating for effective policy frameworks that support the sustainable advancement of the African continent and its global diaspora. (GSF)
