India on Thursday officially announced the hosting of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on Sept 12-13, bringing together BRICS member and partner countries, as well as the outreach invitees.
The theme of the forthcoming BRICS Summit would be “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”
At the summit, the leaders will exchange views on strengthening intra-BRICS cooperation on common priorities and share perspectives on global and regional matters of mutual importance, said India’s Ministry of External Affairs in an official statement.
It added that a total of 350 meetings and high-level engagements had been held this year in over 25 cities across the country.
